It starts with a gracefully raised grooved base 13" in diameter. Then a 3" tube that houses a switch that at every clicking turn simultaneously turns the lights on in intervals and at last click turns them all on. Giving you options for less or more light. Five 1/2" tubes sprout from the 3" tube and bend at approx. 34", 31", 29", 27" and 23" so it looks as though the lights are cascading down. The tubes then bend 45 degrees and at the end there is a hood that holds a small light bulb. The opening of the hood where the light bulb goes is approx. 4 1/2" in diameter and approx. 3" deep. It has 4 slits at the top to properly vent any heat from the bulb. All connections are tight. Switch functions and cord looks good. When we tested it all lights worked. The finish is overall in very good condition with minimal wear, ie. scratches, scuffs and blemishes to the finish. (See pics for details and use zoom feature). The piece overall measures approximately, 18" W x 18" L x 34" T. We are not 100% sure of its entire composition. It very well could be a plastic composite from base to stems. When doing a magnet test the only thing that the magnet sticks to are the light shades. Without doing a scratch test, which would require completely taking the lamp apart we aren't 100% sure.
